Bryce's Big Day!

Yesterday Bryce (Jared's best friend) got married. Jared was the best man which meant a long & fun day. We left the house at 7:30 and didn't get back till midnight. We could hardly keep our eyes open on the ride home. As we got closer we talked about not even brushing our teeth, just jumping into bed.

One of Jared's friends graciously watched Gambit during the day for us since we'd be gone. But I guess when the dogs were out playing Gambit got into something. When we got home he was covered in burrs. Deep and tangled in his long, matted hair. We know Brett (Jared's friend) must've spent some time picking some out. Gambit had also tried to get them out on his own, I know this because there were traces of the burrs all over the house. In our bed, on the carpet, on the rug, everywhere. Well an hour later, gambit had been brushed, I cut all his hair off, bathed, brushed again and blow dryed...and still a few burrs remained. But enough were gone that he was willing to go to sleep.

But back to the wedding. The ceremony was at the SLC temple and it was great. Bryce's little sister watched Parker so we could attend. The luncheon was at the joseph smith memorial building. It was SO SO GOOD. Jared gave a great speech...so good he made a few of the girls in the room tear up. Next stop was to get Jared's tux fixed (the pants were too short), then to Target to get a gift, and then Tera & Joel's in Pleasant Grove to hang out. Then we were off to Mapleton. The house were the reception was- WOW it was beautiful. Everything was decorated nicely and the food was delicious.

Frankly, I think this whole burr crisis could have been avoided if you had just let Parker watch Gambit for you.
